Manual Turning

Manual Turning is a traditional method where flexibility, customisation and skill are valued. It requires precision and expertise to achieve accurate dimensions and surface finishes, and is good for prototyping, repairs, and low-volume production runs.

Our skilled manual turning machinists use various cutting tools and techniques to shape different materials, including metals, plastics, and wood. This allows us to produce cylindrical forms, tapers, grooves, threads etc.

Advancements in technology have led to the widespread adoption of Computer Numerical Control CNC Turning, where automated systems control the machining process, offering higher precision, repeatability, and efficiency.

Both Manual Turning and CNC Turning have their advantages and are suitable for different applications depending on the requirements of the project, production volume, and budget.

We are based in Poole, but offer CNC and Manual Turning services to clients across Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire and across the UK. We are also machining sub-contractors.
